How it is built
The adjustable bed, too, is a middle mattress on a base. The middle mattress has 15-centimetre pocket springs with reinforced corners and edges and stitched-through sides; the base holds 13-centimetre Bonnell springs, with flax in the corners. The filling is horsehair, cotton, wool and flax, without latex.
The mechanism makes the bed heavy: Hästens gives more than 243 kilos for 180 by 210 centimetres. It comes in the same four firmnesses as the other beds.
Who it is for
For those who read, have breakfast or watch television in bed, and for those who sometimes lie with the head or foot end raised for health reasons. Hästens names three different control systems; which one suits your situation is something to discuss with the dealer.
We make no medical promises about adjustable beds. If you are considering sleeping upright for medical reasons, discuss it with your doctor. The bed does what it promises: it rises, and it sleeps like a Hästens.

Frequently asked questions
How heavy is the Hästens Adjustable?
According to Hästens' comparison table, 243.4 kilos at 180 by 210 centimetres, against 195 kilos for a 2000T. The weight varies with size and firmness. Bear it in mind for an upper floor without a lift, or an old floor.
Can two sleepers adjust the bed separately?
That depends on the version and the control system. The catalogue does not describe it in detail; the dealer can confirm it for each configuration.
