Can I try both models in one day?
That is exactly what the €395 day experience exists for: both suites in one day, morning and afternoon, with the comparison in writing at the end. Once SleepSpa is open; at this moment booking isn't possible.
2000T or drēmər?
Short answer
The 2000T is the classic reference bed of the collection; the drēmər is more contemporary in design and in feel, with the same starting point on the inside. Which of the two is better depends entirely on the sleeper — and we deliberately publish no verdict on it, because we can only substantiate one once guests have slept a night on both.
The difference in one sentence
The 2000T is the Hästens most people picture when they think of a Hästens: the classic bed the rest of the collection is measured against. The drēmər is the answer to what a bed of this calibre looks like if you start it today instead of in 1852.
That difference is mostly something you see in a showroom and barely feel. And feeling it is exactly what matters when you will lie in it every night for the next fifteen years.
What to watch for in the comparison
Don't go by the first sensation as you lie down — that mainly tells you about the top layer, and it is the same on both beds. Watch how you lie after twenty minutes, and above all how often you change position during the night.
Watch the turning behaviour as well: on which bed do you move more easily from your back to your side without half waking? For most people that predicts a good night better than comfort on getting in.
And finally, watch how you wake up. Not whether you lay well, but whether you get up without stiffness. That is the only outcome that will still matter in fifteen years.
Why we don't name a winner here
It would be easy to put a verdict here, and it would probably earn us search traffic. But we have no grounds for one: SleepSpa isn't open yet, so nobody has slept a night on both beds under our eyes.
As soon as they have, we will publish what we see — including how many guests ultimately chose which model, and why. Until then there is no figure here we cannot account for.
